Sumpetar is first mentioned in 1080, during the reign of Split nobleman Peter Black Gumaja, who build a monastery near this place. In Sumpetar and its surroundings, there are a number of examples of rural architecture, while a fertile land allows inhabitants to grow fruit, vegetables and vine. After spending the whole day on the beach, you can take an evening walk to the small harbor in the center of Sumpetar, then visit one of the cafes and restaurants and try some local Croatian specialties. If you decide to prepare you own meals in rented apartments in Sumpetar, you can buy groceries in two nearby stores.
If you are interested in nightlife and other entertainment, you can easily reach Omiš and Split from here. Sports enthusiasts and those who like the challenges can try climbing, cycling and walking on a nearby mountain. Our recommendation is staying in one of the apartments in Sumpetar to fully feel this town but also to explore the rest of Omiš Riviera.
