Hiking & Trekking in Omiš, Croatia

Omiš is a paradise for active holidays, and Dinara is one of the many pearls offered. An ideal day should begin with a hiking or trekking trip to the top called “Kula” (864 meters) in the morning. Marked hiking trails offer hikers a unique tour and lead us to the most attractive parts of Dinara.

The most beautiful climb to the top starts at Omiš and leads first to a precariously placed fortress Starigrad. That part of the road is very attractive, but steep and strenuous as it is actually cut into the rock. But the view from the top is worth the effort. The road then descends to the village Borak, and with the abandoned village Cecuci begins a steep climb along the edge of the rock, partly in the shade of pine trees. On several occasions, an exceedingly beautiful view of the mountain opens, and it is separated by the river of Cetina and a wide canyon from Dinara. Very nice natural phenomenon!

Hiking spots:

Javornica Cave "Golubinka"

Gospa Snježna on the mountain called "Poljička planina"
Fortress Fortica
Canyon of Cetina
