Beaches in Pisak, Croatia

Pisak is a small village on the coast of the Adriatic Sea, located about 40 kilometres from Split and 20 kilometers from Makarska. It's a great place to relax and take some time off from the stress and problems of everyday life. There are a number of markets in the village as well as many restaurants and taverns. This fishing village is perfect for tourists because it has a long history and a great culture.



A short walk divides the village Pisak from the beach with the same name, which is a great beach for swimming and sunbathing. It is mainly composed of sand, although we can find parts of gravel, which can be somewhat annoying. The coast is almost uninhabited, so we have the feeling of being isolated from the world in our own paradise. The waters are extremely clean and transparent, and are ideal for swimming and snorkelling. The beach in Pisak is a really great place to come on holiday, and everyone is looking forward to return. It's perfect for those who hate the crowds and noise, and instead prefer walking and watching the sea with family, friends or alone. The beach is very safe for children.

You can reach this place via several secondary roads, so there are no problems about getting lost. One of the favourite activities on the beach Pisak is renting a boat and cruising the coast while breathing the fresh air of the sea.





The climate is generally mild in Pisak. In Pisak, there are many places to stay, ranging from private apartments to hotels, which ensure a quiet holiday in the village. This does not mean that there aren’t bars with a good atmosphere for a beer or a drink before dinner. At one end of the beach, there is a harbour with bars and restaurants. However, if you are looking for a festive atmosphere for a night out, you will have to visit the neighbouring towns of Split and Makarska.

The cultural and natural sites to visit around Pisak offer good travel excursions to various sites. There are several monuments in Pisak worth visiting when you get tired of the beach. A good example is the historic centre of Pisak is popular Church of Saint Marco. Many of these trips are organized with food ready to eat, almost always centred on the fish.
